On our website you will find a lot of information about humus, humic acid and fulvic acid.
What is the best way to store my fulvic acid?
Whether it is a bottle of Pure & Fulvic, Ful-Power or PrimeFulvic, it is best to keep a bottle of fulvic acid in a cool, dry, dark place. Our fulvic acid products are natural products. Algae may form if it is stored in a light or warm place. This is not harmful and the quality of the product is not affected. In fact, it is an indication of the high biological activity of the product.
What does fulvic acid taste like?
The taste is a good way to determine the purity of fulvic acid.
Fulvic acid is supposed to be tasteless according to science.
Why don't I get fulvic acid from the vegetables and fruits that I eat?
We ingest fulvic acid through vegetables, but sparingly. In a perfect world we would all consume fruits and vegetables that are rich in nutrients. It should not be necessary to supplement our diet with fulvic acid. However, through the use of fertilizers and pesticides, but also due to the intense use of agricultural land, humus is gradually being withdrawn from the soil. Because of this we ingest less fulvic acid in a natural way.
How much fulvic acid can I take per day?
We advise you to listen carefully to your body and to decide on that basis which dosage suits you best. This may be the prescribed dosage on the bottle, but if you find yourself reacting strongly to this, you can lower the dosage and then gradually build up, or you may find that as little as 10 ml is enough for you.
Does fulvic acid also taste acidic?
No, fulvic acid should not be acidic or taste sour. Our fulvic acid is free and unbound, and therefore tasteless.
Where did the name fulvic acid come from?
To answer this question, we have to go all the way back to the 1950s. In the beginning of this decade, American researchers used chemicals and acids to extract fulvine from old humic deposits. The process resulted in an unpleasant aftertaste, broke down most of the fulvic acid and made the product very acidic. This is why fulvic acid is often called fulvic acid. Fortunately we extract it differently these days.
What is the difference between fulvic acid and humus (humic acid)?
Humus (humic acid) is the binder and fulvic acid is the transporter.
How do I soak seeds with fulvic acid?
You fill the supplied cap with 5 ml Ful-Power.
Use the following scheme for seed germination:
Vegetable seeds: soak for 72 hours
Other seeds: soak for 24 hours
When seeds are first soaked in fulvic acid, they will develop faster and the plant will experience less stress. This gives you healthy seeds.
Put this claim to the test by soaking a batch of seeds in plain tap water, and soaking a batch of seeds in water with added Ful-Power.
What is the dosage of PrimeHumic?
We advise 1 gram of PrimeHumic per 20 kilos.
How can I make PrimeHumic soluble?
Dosing is more practical with PrimeHumic dissolved in water.
Add the recommended dosage below to 100 ml of soft (lime-free) water and let it rest for 2 minutes.
Stir well and then it is ready for use.
You can use the next dosage for dissolving.
After making a batch of liquid PrimeHumic you can apply the following dosage:
Refer to the dosage that is recommended, eg 5 grams. Dissolve 5 grams in 100 ml of water (preferably in soft, lime-free water), and then use 10 ml of this solution daily.
Shake well before use!
Undissolved particles may be visible; they do not affect the effectiveness of the product and do not need to be filtered out.
What is the dosage for my pet when I have PrimeHumic in liquid form?
|20 kg||15 cc|
|40 kg||30 cc|
|60 kg||60 cc|
To give this dosage to your pet, we recommend that you add it to the pet’s drinking water.
To mix, use the following ratio: 15 cc PrimeHumic liquid in 100 ml of water.
To a dog of about 20 kg, give 15 cc added to water, or 1.5 cc pure every day (you can use a syringe for this).
To a cat of about 4 kilos, give 3 cc added to water every day.
PrimeHumic liquid can be used in combination with PrimeFulvic.
If you use both products together, you can halve the dosage of PrimeHumic liquid.
What is the difference between fulvic acid products for human consumption, animals or plants?
The fermentation and filtering process for the fulvic acid product for human consumption (Pure&Fulvic) takes longer, making the fulvic acid milder. The percentage of fulvic acid (6%) however, is the same in products for humans, animals as well as plants.
How does humic (acid) form?
Humus (humic acid) is the top layer of the soil and is very fertile. It looks like compost, but is degraded further than compost. Humus (humic acid) consists of degraded plant materials. As vegetable material degrades into compost, humus substances are formed. There are three elements that are extracted from these substances:
- Humic acid;
- Fulvic acid;
A humic substance-like compost takes at least 6-12 months to form, but in nature the formation of a humic acid layer takes much longer. A humic acid layer can be as old as 40 million years. A rule of thumb about quality is: the older, the better, and the layer has formed a few meters below ground.
What are other names for humus substances?
The terms humus, humic acid, fulvic acid and humin are used on this site to refer to all humus substances. Other names are:
- Concentrated humus
How is fulvic acid produced?
The production process differs greatly per supplier. As a result, the quality of the products also varies per supplier. Below the production process of fulvic acid is described as it is manufactured by BioAg, supplier for Health Solution.
- Raw material arrives at the facility, in large closed bags.
- The bags are emptied in fermentation vessels (the same as used in the wine industry).
- Rainwater, enzymes and microbes are added.
– The enzymes ensure the separation of fulvic acid from the humus, a process called fermentation.
– The microbes prevent bacteria like E.coli from infiltrating the barrels.
- The fermentation process takes a number of months.
- Tests are performed during the process to check whether the product has reached the correct acidity, density, color and consistency.
- After the fermentation process is complete, all vessels are emptied into a large tank.
- The tank is then used to fill 275 liters of barrels through a patented filter system that prevents any risk of contamination, and removes any existing microbes.
- Each load receives a lot number, so that all products can be checked.
- Once the large tank is emptied, the process starts again.
How do I know what type of soil I have and how can I improve it?
There are 4 types of soil:
- Light sandy soil, too little moisture and nutrition: add humic acid and clay
- Heavy clay soil, too little air and too much moisture: add humic acid and coarse sand
- Acid peat soil, too acidic and too little structure: add humic acid and lime
- Regular garden soil, too little nutrition: add humic acid
We recommend having a soil analysis carried out in order to be able to improve the soil in a more targeted manner and, subsequently, to maintain it optimally.
What is the difference between Ful-Humix, TM-7, Cytoplus & Ful-Power?
Ful-Humix, TM-7, Cytoplus are all humus-based. Nutrients have been added to the TM-7 and Cytoplus. Ful-power consists of fulvic acid.
How can I make the Ful-Humix, TM-7 and / or Cytoplus soluble?
Our humus is soluble, but make sure you use soft, lime-free water. Collected rainwater is perfectly suitable to make the products soluble.
We use 1 liter per meter.
|Ful-Humix||5 grams per 10 liters|
|TM-7||4 grams per 10 liters|
|CytoPlus||4 grams per 10 liters|
Precise solutions depend on the phase of the plant/crop or flower, and which product you use and how often.
Why can I halve the use of fertilizer when I add Ful-Power?
Ful-Power, which is pure fulvic acid, is an effective and 100% natural root and growth stimulator that has the ability to improve the absorption of nutrients during all developmental stages (germination, rooting, cutting, growing, sprouting, flowering, fruit or flower development) of plants, grasses and crops. The pure, unbound fulvic acid acts as a natural chelator and as a result, nutrients are absorbed even better and the use of fertilizers can therefore be halved.
